Happy Thursday everyone! So, what's the latest with you? Me, I've been busy working on a bunch of projects. Currently, I'm working part-time for the holiday season at a local crafts/hobbies store. Just the perfect place for me, if I had to pick a fun part-time job. AND Yes, we have been BUSY! From the time we open at 9am til the time I leave (around 2pm), there are non-stop customers. LOL, I think one morning I saw customers in the store walking around a few minutes before we officially opened!
Throughout the day, I get to see beautiful, wonderful christmas ornaments. Greens, reds, golds, blues, purples, silvers, and so on. I confess, I am a Christmas-Decoration-a-holic. I think when we finally moved our remaining belongings (stuff) a few weeks ago, most of it was christmas decor. I'm one of those folk that likes to decorate the entire home for the holidays. When you visit each room, you will see something special and different. I think the most number of trees I have placed in my home was 7. At first, I told DH that I wanted to put up 3 trees in our apt, but I think one will suffice. (hee hee) Of course, I still have to find a place for the garland, and candles, and bows and mistletoe. . . What to do with the decorations that will not be used this year? I'd like to give some of it away (we have already given away a lot of our stuff) or it will go into storage for future use another year.
The weather here in the Heartland is frightful. Meaning, earlier in the week the temperature was in the late '60's, early 70's. Yesterday (Wednesday), the temperature dropped, the rain turned into freezing rain and snow. The forecast today is for snow, some parts of the metro could receive up to 12 inches! The current temperature is 15 degrees. YIKES!
I'm glad that I don't have to work today. (It's a good day to be at home and decorate.) Driving in the snow doesn't bother me, it's the ice that I don't like. I worked downtown for about 12 years and had to drive in the inclement weather.
Well, that's it for now. Ciao.
